Your data
Sift is built so your calendar stays yours. There is no Sift account and no Sift server reading your events.
Where your data lives
| Data | Location |
|---|---|
| Calendar events | Apple Calendar on your device (iCloud, Google, Exchange, etc.): Sift reads, never copies to a server |
| Views and settings | On your iPhone, in Sift’s local storage |
| Optional iCloud Sync (Sift Plus) | Your private CloudKit container, see iCloud Sync |
| JSON backups | Wherever you save the file (Export & Import) |
| Watch views | Synced from iPhone to Apple Watch over WatchConnectivity |
so & so cannot see your calendar data, there is no backend to receive it.
What Sift never collects
No account, no in-app analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers. The marketing website uses cookieless aggregate page-view stats only. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Deleting everything
To remove Sift data from a device:
- Delete individual views: swipe or use the delete action on the Views screen.
- Delete All Views: Settings → iCloud & Data → Delete All Views resets views and preferences on that device.
- Remove iCloud Sync data: iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Sift → Delete Data.
- Uninstall the app: removes all local Sift data and the Spotlight index.
Uninstalling does not delete calendar events. They stay in Apple Calendar.
